In 2017, IN-RGY gives effect to its R&D efforts by offering for sale an innovative plus-in module for the Kronos solution.
Patrick Levasseur, Kronos Practice Director and his team have developed IN-RGY’s Labor IN-Sight solution.
We fully understand the needs of Kronos clients. Why? Because our team is highly skilled in the solutions offered by Kronos and our experts are themselves former Kronos employees.
This solution, compatible with Workforce Timekeeper 6.1 and subsequent versions as well as the brand-new Workforce Dimension platform, is offered on a local or cloud infrastructure and is presented as a web site, which applications can be bought separately through licenses. Labor IN-Sight’s mission is to offer complementary modules that optimize Kronos user experience while allowing to meet particularly precise requirements. The application interacts with APIs and with Kronos database to format, process and return the required information base on clients’ needs. The effort was focused on a user-friendly user interface and the tool is web responsive. The application adapts itself to the interface on which it is used (tablet, smart phone, laptop, etc.), making it an asset for any organization starting its transition to mobile solutions.

Vacation Bidding
For many organizations, one the many major challenges they face is the vacation planning process. Regulated by specific rules such as hours worked and seniority, planning vacation requires a strict follow-up and a standardized process. The vacation Bidding module offers a specialized tool in vacation planning to help companies manage the organization of vacation. It allows employers to set quotas based on different criteria (period of the year, position, site, etc.), and employee to submit his preferred time slot. Also, it is possible to grant vacations as per various priority rules and to post the results, through the company organizational chart or based on the sites defined per cost centres.
It is important to understand that Vacation Bidding is a decision-making tool that completes Kronos Request Manager. It uses Hyperfind requests to return the required information to the users. Furthermore, one of the product options is to manage vacation approval directly in the tool. Vacation Bidding is a module that perfectly adapts itself to any company that has vacation quotas per department or sector (manufacturing, warehouse, etc.), and/or that have to respect union rules.
On Premise Report
Another pertinent tool developed by our Kronos experts is the On-Premise Report module. It allows collecting information on work site presence, necessary in case of emergency. It allows acknowledging the employees present at the determined meeting point during an event demanding an evacuation. This allows the immediate supervisor to identify the missing people and take the necessary measures to find them (communicate with emergency services, general call, etc.). On Premise Report interacts in real time with TimeKeeper to list the employees at work during an event, based on various criteria (work location, person in charge, meeting point, etc. This product responds to any company’s needs that is looking for an emergency process part of a strict work health and safety policy. Employees working for energy and construction companies are exposed to risks and are the perfect candidates for their employers to use this product, which will help them to comply with safety requirements.
Project Timecard
The Project Timecard module was created to help sites superintendents to make precise decisions regarding the allotment of hours and resources while being able to modify these variables. The people in charge can then take notes, on site, of their team’s hours on the various projects directly in Kronos. Project Timecard allows limiting accounting errors in allocation of hours per cost centre while still controlling project status and use of resources. One of the main issues in the construction domain is the follow-up of overtime. Project Timecard allows a comprehensive analysis of the situation of site, thus optimizing the global performance.
Schedule Export Tool
Publishing and communicating schedules prove to be tedious tasks for many organizations. For that reason, the IN-RGY Kronos team put together the Schedule Export Tool which synchronizes work schedules with Outlook or Google Calendar and allows employees to view their personal calendar. Without connecting to Kronos, it is now easy for the employee to visualize his work hours, projects, vacation days and any other related activity in real time on the platform of his choice. This module is available on all Kronos’ versions and it adapts specially to companies whose employees work on various projects and are not on work sites on a regular basis. It can also be used by any organization. In short, the Schedule Export Tool is a powerful tool that gives the employee the flexibility to choose his favourite calendar platform to view his time schedule.
